Clean kitchen floor with mop, bucket, Zoflora disinfectant and Flash Speedmop wipes for 5-minute cleaning hack

The 5-Minute Mop Hack That Keeps Floors Clean for Days

Mopping is the worst. You spend 20 minutes pushing dirty water around, then 2 hours later the kids walk in with muddy shoes and it looks like you never bothered.

Here’s the 5-minute hack that actually keeps floors clean for 3-4 days. My mum taught me this and I’ve used it for 10 years.

You need:

  1. Your normal mop + bucket 2. 1 capful of Zoflora disinfectant — any scent you like 3. Flash Speedmop Wipes for the finishing touch
    The 5-minute method:
  2. Sweep first — 1 minute. Mops just push crumbs around. 2. Fill bucket with HOT water — cold water spreads grease instead of lifting it. 3. Add 1 cap Zoflora — this is the bit that keeps floors clean for days. It leaves an antibacterial coating that repels dirt and mud. 4. Mop as normal — 3 minutes. Don’t go over the same spot 10 times. One pass is enough. 5. Streak-free finish: Once the floor is dry, run a Flash Speedmop Wipe over it by hand or with your mop. It picks up fine dust and hair that mops miss.
Why this works when normal mopping doesn’t:
Most floor cleaners evaporate in an hour. Zoflora leaves a residue that stops new dirt sticking. I do my kitchen + hall on Monday and they still look clean Thursday. With 3 kids.

The Speedmop wipe isn’t for the bucket — they fall apart in water. I use it at the end for that “just cleaned” look without streaks.

Pro tip: Do this at night. The floor dries overnight and you wake up to that Zoflora smell. Feels like you’ve got your life together.

Tried it? Tell me if your floors stay clean longer in the comments.
